Dawou's is more than just a café and bar. It's a part of our family. Its name comes from our family surname, Davoudanis, a name that, for us, carries history, memories, and strong family bonds. We grew up as five siblings, four brothers and one sister, learning the value of togetherness, hospitality, and sharing meaningful moments with the people around us. Those are the values we wanted to bring into the space we created.
Our love for plants and vinyl records shapes the atmosphere of the space, creating a sense of calm and warmth amidst the rhythm of city life. At the same time, music is an essential part of who we are.
Our sound is inspired by everything from electronic music and old-school classics to Afro, Colombian, and Brazilian grooves, creating an atmosphere filled with energy, emotion, and worldly influences.
